How do I know these gifts are the best? Most of the suggestions in this guide are items I personally own, love and can recommend. And, the rest are gifts I would be excited to receive, as an adventurous and active woman myself.

Don’t have time to read the whole article? Check out my top 3 picks: Everywhere Belt Bag, Backcountry French Press, and A Woman’s Guide to the Wild.

About This Gift Guide for Outdoorsy Women

Coming up with unique and thoughtful gift ideas can be a challenging task. Especially when the receiver loves to hit the trails, sleep under the stars or climb a mountain, as they probably already own most of the essential gear for these activities.

And with the now oversaturated outdoors industry, it can be hard to sift through all the products on the market. This makes it especially difficult to find gifts that she will actually appreciate and use in the outdoors.

As a woman who loves hiking, running, camping, biking, paddling, and just generally being active in nature, I’ve spent a lot of time trying, testing and searching for the best outdoorsy products.

Plus, I like to pride myself on being a great gift giver. I always focus on gifts which are thoughtful, unique and suit the receiver’s interests and hobbies. Therefore, this guide only includes products that I own, have gifted to others, or that I would love to receive myself.

I initially planned to put together a much shorter list of gifts for outdoorsy women. But, once I got started, I had so many ideas that the list has grown a lot. This means that no matter what your budget is, you will find a range of practical, fun and unique gift ideas here, that she will actually appreciate and love!

Best Gifts for Outdoorsy Women

1. Insulated Camp Slippers

A red women's Thermoball Insulated Traction Mule V Shoe from the North Face, which is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women.

One of the best things I’ve bought recently for camping are a pair of insulated booties. After a long day of hiking there’s nothing better than putting these on! They’re so warm and comfortable. Plus, they’re super lightweight and packable, so they’re perfect for backpacking trips.

There are plenty of great insulated booties and slippers on the market at the moment. But these ones from The North Face are particular useful since they’re water resistant and have a durable sole. So they can actually be worn as shoes!

2. Pop-Top Opening Mittens

The Wunder Puff Mittens in Medium Forest/Dark Forest, available at lululemon.com.

Spending time outdoors in the winter can be a challenge with all the layers we have to wear. In particular, I hate battling with my gloves every time I want to take a photo, check my phone, or get something out of my pocket. But there is a solution – pop-top opening mittens!

In particular, the down insulated Wunder Puff Mittens from lululemon are warm, practical, and one of the most stylish mittens on the market this year. They come in several colours and are one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women this season.

3. A Woman’s Guide to the Wild

The light green front cover of the book A Woman's Guide to the Wild, which is an outdoor handbook for women.

A Woman’s Guide to the Wild is a must-read for all women seeking outdoor inspiration and practical advice.

This guide is not just a typical outdoor manual. Instead, it addresses the unique experiences and challenges faced by women in the wild. Blending the author’s personal experiences with expert advice, it covers topics from camping essentials to navigating the backcountry, and everything in-between.

Beyond traditional skills, the book also delves into the empowerment and confidence that nature instills in women. It’s not just a guide; it’s a celebration of female resilience and connection to the great outdoors. No matter her level of experience, this is a book any outdoorsy woman will appreciate receiving.

4. Ultralight Backpacking Chair

The Big Agnes Skyline UL Ultralight Backpacking Chair in colour blue, which is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women this year.

A true luxury item for backpacking, which is worth the extra few grams, is an ultralight camp chair. This is something I now always take with me on canoe trips and multi-day hikes in areas with more primitive campsites.

It’s a true game changer when there aren’t any benches or picnic tables, and you usually have to resort to sitting on logs. Plus, these chairs are also a great item to pack for some extra comfort at the beach, on day hikes and for fishing trips!

One of the best (and lightest) chairs on the market at the moment is the Big Agnes Skyline UL Ultralight Backpacking Chair. For such a compact and lightweight chair, it’s exceptionally comfortable and sturdy. Plus it comes in a variety of fun colours!

5. Waterproof Hiking Poncho

The Waterproof Hiking Poncho by lululemon in colour black, available at lululemon.com.

Most outdoorsy women will already own a lightweight rain jacket and windbreaker. But lululemon have brought out a new and functional alternative this season. The Waterproof Hiking Poncho is made out of waterproof and windproof fabric and has sealed seams to ensure you stay dry.

But on top of this, it’s more breathable and comfortable than traditional rain jackets, and it has functional pockets, openings and ventilation panels. Plus, its oversized style gives you more room to move, making it ideal for hiking. It’s also not an item many outdoorsy women have come across yet, so chances are she doesn’t already have one!

6. Backcountry Titanium French Press

Lixada titanium pot and stainless steel french press for coffee, which is a great gift outdoorsy gift idea for women.

There are few things better than enjoying a fresh cup of coffee. But this can be difficult to achieve in the backcountry. This means most of us tend to resort to instant coffee while backpacking and camping, which just isn’t as good.

A popular solution until now has been the Aeropress. But this still comes with its downsides – it’s a little fiddly, requires filters and it only brews 1 cup at a time. So, when searching for other options, I came across a Titanium French Press, which is perfect for the backcountry.

It comes with a 750ml lightweight titanium pot, which can be used on its own, as a large mug, or with the removable French press. I already own a titanium pot and mug, which have served me really well. So I’m excited to try the French press attachment next, and I’m sure any other outdoorsy coffee-lovers will be too!

7. Garmin In-Reach Mini 2

Garmin inReach Mini 2, Lightweight and Compact Satellite Communicator in colour orange, which makes a great gift for an outdoorsy woman.

When going on outdoor adventures, safety should always be a priority. Unfortunately, this is especially true for women.

One of the best ways to stay safe in the backcountry is to carry a satellite communications device. But, as these are on the pricier end, it isn’t something every outdoor adventurer has invested in. Therefore, it makes one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women!

In particular, I recommend the Garmin In-Reach Mini 2, which is the communicator I use. This tiny but powerful device is consistently voted as the best satellite communicator on the market. And for good reason – it’s one of the most compact, lightweight and functional standalone safety devices available.

8. Annual Parks Pass

The America the Beautiful National Parks Pass 2023 and Canada's 2024 National Parks Discovery Pass

If you’re not quite sure what gear to give, then give the gift of the outdoors instead!

Many national and local parks around the world require a parks pass for admission. This applies to national parks in the US and Canada, as well as many regional and provincial parks.

Giving a parks pass is one gift you can be sure any outdoorsy woman will use and appreciate.

9. Trail Running Vest

The Osprey Women's Dyna LT Running Hydration Vest with Hydraulics Soft Flasks in colour blue.

For any outdoorsy women who love hitting the trails, an excellent gift idea is a trail running vest. And, even if she’s not a trail runner, this is actually a great piece of gear for hiking and road running too.

Running or hiking with a vest means you can carry just the essentials, without a pack weighing you down. The weight distribution ensures you stay comfortable and have freedom of movement. And with various useful pockets, you can carry your water, snacks, emergency items and even an extra layer with you.

There are plenty of running vests on the market at the moment. Osprey, Salomon and lululemon all make great quality and functional trail running vests, around a similar price point. But you can also find various cheaper brands on Amazon, which work well too.

10. Everywhere Belt Bag

The everyday belt bag 1 L by lululemon in colour aero blue, available on lululemon.com.

One of the most popular accessories these days is a belt bag. And there’s no belt bag more trendy than the lululemon Everywhere Bag. This practical and stylish pouch can be worn around your waist, over your shoulder, or cross body.

And, for its compact size, it can actually fit quite a lot. I’ve even managed to squeeze a long-sleeve layer in it, along with my phone, purse and lip balm!

I don’t know any outdoorsy woman who doesn’t like these bags. And although I’ve tried a few different belt bags, the Everywhere Bag is my all-time favourite and is the one I always come back to.

It comes in a range of different sizes, fabrics and colours. From neutral classics to fun seasonal styles, there’s one to suit everyone. So you really can’t go wrong when gifting this bag.

11. Wooden Canoe Paddle

Siz wooden canoe paddles of all different styles, sizes and types of wood, which make great gifts for outdoorsy women.

If the outdoorsy gal you’re looking to buy for enjoys canoeing, for a unique gift, get her a wooden canoe paddle.

Not only is this is a practical item she can use on her next paddling adventure. But it’s also something that can be used decoratively, as it looks great hanging on the wall!

Plus, paddling with a quality wooden paddle is way more enjoyable than using the plastic ones most outfitters rent out.

12. Inflatable Paddle Board or Kayak

An outdoordy woman paddling in a red Kayak, with a man on a paddle board to her left, with blue skies in the background.

Another great gift idea for recreational paddlers is an inflatable stand-up paddle board (SUP) or kayak!

With her own vessel, she’ll be able to hit the water anytime. And it will save a lot of money on rentals in the long run.

An inflatable SUP or Kayak is the best option since it packs down small enough to be easily stored and transported. So she won’t need to have a big car or garage space for it.

13. Darn Tough Socks

A woman's Darn Tough Micro Crew hiking sock with a mountain and sunset pattern in teal, red, pink and yellow.

Without a doubt, Darn Tough socks are the best hiking socks on the market. And they’re an item every outdoorsy lady will appreciate, so they make an excellent small gift or stocking stuffer.

True to their name, these socks are extremely tough. In fact, they even come with a lifetime warranty, meaning that if she EVER get any holes in them, she can get them replaced for free!

In addition to being the toughest socks out there, they’re also super comfortable and come in a range of cuts, colours and fun patterns. The Micro Crew Midweight style is my favourite for hiking. And I also really love wearing their running socks with trail shoes and runners.

14. Collapsible Camp Kitchen

Sea to Summit collapsible x-pot, 2 x-mugs and 2 x-bowls, which are sold together as a camp kitchen set, which is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women.

One of the most practical items I own for backpacking is my collapsible camp kitchen set from Sea to Summit.

This set includes two full-size bowls and mugs, and a 750ml pot, which all packs down flat, taking up hardly any room in your backpack. And its all made from food-grade, heat-resistant silicone, which is durable and safe. This set is the ideal gift for anyone who might be ready to upgrade their camping equipment!

If you don’t want to buy the whole set, Sea to Summit also sell these items individually. Plus, they have a range of other collapsible products such as larger bowls and pots, plates and storage containers.

15. Ski or Snowboard Trip

Two yellow skis and poles sticking out of the snow with the view of snowy mountain peaks in the background.

Instead of buying her a gift, why not take her on a vacation? One of the best vacations for an outdoorsy gilt is a ski or snowboard trip. She can hit the slopes, enjoy après-ski, relax at the spa, and even try other activities like snowshoeing, tubing or Nordic skiing.

And this doesn’t have to be a huge, expensive vacation either. There are often deals on ski packages throughout the season, and if you live close enough to the mountains, you can plan to go just for a weekend.

16. Teva Original Universal Sandals

A black coloured Teva women's original universal sandal, which is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy girls.

One of the most popular and practical pairs of shoes you can buy for an outdoorsy gal is a pair of Teva Original Universal Sandals. They’re lightweight, durable, they stay on your feet, and you can easily walk all day in them. Plus they’re super comfortable – I have never gotten blisters or sore feet from wearing mine!

Tevas are also great to take on hiking or paddling trips, as they’re easy to pack and can be worn around camp or used as water shoes.

17. Photography Camera

A woman standing in a field with a camera set up on a tripod, with a vivid sunset in the background.

If she loves spending time outdoors, there’s a good chance she also loves capturing it! Although phone cameras can produce excellent quality photos, there is nothing quite like using a standalone camera. Even an entry level photography camera is a huge upgrade for hobby photographers.

Phone camera’s just can’t compete with the image quality, resolution and settings of a real camera. This is especially important when it comes to capturing nature, landscapes and animals.

Gifting her a camera will giver her the opportunity to learn new photography skills, capture more of her time outdoors, and potentially even discover a new passion!

18. GoPro HERO12 Black

GoPro HERO 12 in colour black, which is the latest GoPro model and is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women this year.

If she loves capturing all the action on her outdoors adventures, then she needs a GoPro HERO12.

This compact and rugged action camera is designed to withstand the elements, making it perfect for any other outdoor activity, including water sports. It’s completely waterproof and has 5.3K video capabilities and advanced image stabilization, ensuring crystal-clear footage even in challenging terrains.

This is without a doubt the best action camera on the market, making it an ideal gift for anyone looking to capture their outdoor pursuits.

19. National Geographic Atlas of the World

National Geographic Atlas of the World 11th edition, which depicts an image of the earth taken from space.

An atlas is a wonderful gift for anyone who has an interest in exploring the world. Not only is this a beautiful book, but its maps show physical features in stunning detail, covering every corner of the globe, making this an excellent tool to plan outdoor adventures and travel.

In my opinion, the most beautiful and comprehensive atlas is National Geographic’s Atlas of the World. I gave it as a gift a couple of years ago, and it was one of the best received gifts I’ve given! It’s also not always that easy to track down a copy, which makes it a particularly thoughtful and special gift.

20. Quick-Dry Water Shoes

A pair of pink water shoes, which look just like a pair of running shoes, and are a great gift idea for active women.

Water shoes are a total game-changer for outdoorsy women. But you won’t realize by how much until you own a pair, which is why they’re such a great gift to give!

When you think of water shoes, you probably envisage a pair of ugly sandals. But they actually come in a range of styles, including some which look just like regular sneakers. These are what I have and they are one of my favourite pieces of outdoor apparel.

They’re comfortable, breathable, quick-drying, and they provide good grip and protect my feet on rocky and rough surfaces. They’re particularly great for canoe and kayaking trips as I can get in and out of the water without worrying about my feet getting wet, since the water easily drains out and my feet never feel cold or damp in them. Plus, I can wear them to hike between portages, as they feel very similar to a walking shoe.

21. Birkenstock Arizona Eva Sandals

A light green Birkenstock Eva slide-on sandal in the signature Arizona style, which is a great gift for an adventurous woman.

Another shoe which any outdoorsy woman will appreciate is a pair of Birkenstocks in the new EVA material. In particular, you can’t go wrong with the classic Arizona style, which is easy to slip on and off, and really comfortable to walk in.

At the moment, my EVA Arizona’s are my favourite travel and camp shoe. They’re perfect for the warmer months, and when it gets cooler you can wear socks with them (which is what I do around camp at night). And they come in cool colours.

Unlike the original Birkenstocks, these are super lightweight, flexible and shock absorbing. Plus, unlike the original leather Birkenstocks, you don’t have to wear them in, you can get them wet, and they’re easy to clean.

22. Collapsible Fishing Rod

A woman wearing a red jacket, cap and sunglasses, fishing from a small inflatable yellow boat.

One of the best gifts for outdoorsy women who enjoy spending time on (or near) the water is a collapsible fishing rod.

Fishing is a great activity to do when paddling, boating or hiking and camping near lakes and other waterways. Even if she doesn’t have much experience fishing, it’s an easy activity to pick up, and catching a fish is always exciting!

I have a collapsible fishing rod and it’s the perfect size to pack on a canoeing or backpacking trip. It takes up hardly any space in my pack and is easy to assemble and disassemble.

23. Tangle Teezer Original Mini Hairbrush

A Tangle Teezer hairbrush, which is a small plastic handheld brush, in a bright pink colour, and makes a great stocking stuffer gift.

A hairbrush is probably not an item you were expecting to see on a list of gifts for outdoorsy women. However, there’s a good reason why it’s here.

Tangle Teezer is the original detangling hairbrush. It quickly and easily untangles knots without pulling or breaking the hairs, which is something most women need after a day spent outside. Plus this handheld hairbrush is compact, lightweight and durable. In particular, the mini version is ideal to pack for a multi-day backcountry trip.

I’ve been using Tangle Teezers for over 10 years and I will never touch another hairbrush again!

24. Lightweight Camping Hammock

A person lying in a blue hammock strung between two trees with the view of a mountain range in the background.

There’s nothing quite like relaxing at camp after a long day of trekking or paddling. And the best way to do it is in a hammock!

This is an excellent gift for outdoorsy women who enjoy camping. In particular, a lightweight hammock is ideal for multi-day backcountry trips, without it taking up too much space or weight in her pack.

And if the outdoorsy woman you’re looking to buy for is your significant other, you can even get a double hammock, so you can both enjoy relaxing in it together.

25. Reusable Pee Cloth

Two brightly coloured reusable absorbent wipes by Circle Care, which can be used instead of toilet paper and for feminine hygiene.

Although this may seem a little intimate to give, a reusable pee cloth is actually one of the most practical gifts for outdoorsy women.

Its compact, absorbent and antimicrobial design provides a hygienic solution for bathroom breaks in the wild. And the attached snap loop allows her to fold it closed and attach it to her pack, where it stays easily accessible and clean.

This eco-friendly cloth is a particularly great gift idea for ladies who are committed to sustainable practices and value both convenience and environmental responsibility. Plus, they comes in a range of cute and colourful designs!

26. True Identity Card Case

The True Identity Card Case by lululemon, which is a small card holder purse, in a purple colour. Available at lululemon.com.

Another practical, but stylish, gift idea is the True Identity Card Case from lululemon. Not only is this a practical solution to keeping your cards and money safe when adventuring outside, but it’s also a great everyday alternative to a purse.

The True Identity Card Case is sleek, secure and has enough space to store your essential items, while being small enough to fit in your pocket. Plus, it’s constructed with durable, water-repellent fabric and is designed for use on the move, so it’s perfect for active ladies.

I’ve had one for a few years and it’s so easy to take everywhere with me. It fits all the cards and cash I need. And I can easily carry it in any of my pockets, hip belts or bags.

27. Garmin Smartwatch

The Garmin Lily Small GPS Smartwatch with Touchscreen and Patterned Lens, with rose gold accents and a light tan coloured strap.

When it comes to gadgets, there’s no better gift for an outdoorsy woman than a smartwatch. And out of all the smartwatches on the market, it’s hard to beat a Garmin.

Garmin’s range of smartwatches include everyday fitness trackers, high-performance watches, and hybrids. One thing they all have in common is that they seamlessly combine a wide range of fitness and adventure features into one stylish wearable. So, no matter what the recipient’s interests are, you’ll be able to find a Garmin that suits her.

I personally have a Garmin Vivomove hybrid watch, which has a really elegant aesthetic. I love that it looks like a real watch, so I can wear it on any occasion. But it’s always tracking my steps, heart rate and activities, so I can keep on top of my fitness goals.

28. Foldable Wine Pouch

A red foldable wine pouch filled with wine, next to two wine glasses, a bottle, wine opener and some cheese.

If you’re looking for a practical and fun stocking stuffer, consider a foldable wine pouch!

Glass usually isn’t allowed in the backcountry. And a bottle of wine is way too heavy to take on a multi-day backpacking trip anyway. So this is the ideal small gift for any outdoorsy lady who loves to wind down with a glass of wine after a long day of hiking or paddling.

She will be able to fill the pouch with her favourite bottle of wine to take with her. And once it’s all finished, the pouch can be rolled up, taking up barely any space in her pack, and weighing almost nothing.

29. Half Zip Merino Wool Base Layer

A long sleeve merino wool top in a deep purple colour by SmartWool, which is a great gift for outdoorsy women.

When it comes to dressing for the outdoors, you can’t go wrong with a merino wool base layer. They’re comfortable, super soft, warm, lightweight, quick-drying and odor resistant.

In particular, I love the half-zip design, as it’s great for regulating your temperature as you get hotter and colder. And it looks super stylish – I often wear mine as a sweater!

The best merino wool layers on the market are without a doubt SmartWool. They are on the pricier end, but this makes them one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women, as they’re not necessarily something she would splurge on herself.

However, lululemon have also come out with their own version recently which is really highly rated and a little more budget-friendly. The lululemon version is actually a merino wool blend. But it’s exceptionally functional with thumb holes and a lightweight technical design which is ideal for hiking and other outdoor activities.

30. Waterproof Kindle

An Amazon Kindle laying down with droplets of water on it, showing that it's waterproof, which is why its one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women.

One of the best ways to relax in the outdoors is with a good book. But depending on the activity she’s doing, it’s not always practical to pack a book. They can easily get damaged or wet, and are too bulky and heavy to carry on multi-day backcountry trips.

Luckily, there’s a practical solution – the Kindle Paperwhite! The new Kindle is compact and lightweight (it only weighs 205 grams), it has a larger glare-free display, 10 weeks of battery life and can store thousands of books. Plus, it’s waterproof, which makes it ideal to take hiking, paddling, or even just to the beach!

31. Adventure Tour or Experience

A woman in a pink top bungee jumping with her arms stretched out and water below. This is a great gift idea for adventurous women.

If you prefer to give an experience over a physical gift, there are plenty of tours which make great gifts for outdoorsy women.

Zip lining, parasailing, bungee jumping, canyoning, sailing, caving, ATVing, horseback riding, dog sledding, snowmobiling and scuba diving are just some of the thrilling experiences you could book for her.

32. Shatterproof Compact Mirror

A stainless steel mirror with a pink leather protective pouch, which is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women.

Another small but practical gift which makes for an excellent stocking stuffer is a shatterproof compact mirror. These handy little mirrors are made from stainless steel, but they’re so well polished that the reflection is just as clear as a glass mirror. They come in a little protective case and only weigh 90 grams, so are easy to pack and carry.

I always carry one on multi-day trips. It’s especially helpful in case I get something in my eye, for getting contacts in out, and making sure I’ve properly applied sunscreen. And it can also be used as an emergency signalling device if the worst were to happen.

33. Camp Pillow

A red and black checkered pillow, which is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women.

With the right gear, camping doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. For a thoughtful gift idea, treat her to a good night’s sleep under the stars with a REAL pillow.

I’ve tried a few different camping pillows over the years, but the Teton Sports Camp Pillow is my absolute favourite. It’s just like a smaller version of a real pillow, so it’s super comfortable to sleep with (way better than inflatable camp pillows). And it’s easy to take on multi-day trips as it’s lightweight and packs down to about the same size as a water bottle.

Note – If you’re in Canada, the Redcamp Outdoor Camping Pillow is the same as the Teton, but at a more affordable price!

34. Nature Meditations Deck

Nature Meditations Deck: Simple Mindfulness Practices Inspired by the Natural World. This deck of cards is in a cream and green coloured box.

If the outdoorsy lady you’re thinking of values mindfulness and connections with nature, then the Nature Meditations Deck would make a wonderful gift.

This nature-inspired deck contains 60 cards to help her engage with the therapeutic powers of nature. Each card helps create a moment of calm and clarity through meditation and visualization practice, while making use of the restorative benefits of the natural world.

35. AllTrails+ Gift Subscription

A green AllTrails gift card, showing the AllTrails logo, which is a great gift to give to an outdoorsy woman.

These days there is an app for everything. And exploring the outdoors is no exception. Out of all the outdoorsy apps available, AllTrails is the go-to app for most hikers and backpackers. Although there is a free version which is already pretty great, an AllTrails+ subscription really steps things up.

Not only will she be able to track her outdoor activities using the app. But she will also be able to create custom routes, search for trails nearby, use the built-in navigation tools to stay on track, and prepare for her outdoor adventures with detailed 3D maps.

You can easily gift an AllTrails+ annual subscription by buying a gift card for just $35!

36. lululemon Hiking Pants

A woman modelling a pair of blue hiking pants with pink accents. These are the Ripstop Cargo High-Rise Hiking Jogger by lululemon.

Although they’re typically known for their yoga and running gear, lululemon have recently entered the hiking industry with some of the best apparel on the market. In particular, their hiking pants have been a huge hit, with a much more stylish design than most of their competitors.

On top of looking good, their pants are super comfortable, durable and versatile. lululemon currently have a range of hiking leggings, shorts and cargo pants in stock – all of which are very highly rated, functional and trendy.

My favourite pants are lululemon’s convertible high-rise hiking jogger, which doubles up as a cute pair of shorts. These are what I wore throughout most of my time hiking and traveling South America, and they served me really well! Although this particular style is only available seasonally, so keep an eye out for them to re-appear in the spring.

37. SnowShoes

A paid of grey showshoes with purple and blue accents, which are a great gift for women who love the outdoors.

Hiking isn’t an activity that has to be reserved for the summer. With a pair of snowshoes, she will be able to continue hiking and exploring the outdoors throughout the winter.

Fortunately, snowshoes aren’t a very expensive piece of equipment to invest in. And, if she’s not already a regular winter hiker, they make a great gift, as they will get her trying something new and enjoying the outdoors all year round!

38. Blundstone Boots

A black women's Blundstone Chelsea Boot, which is a popular and sturdy ankle boot and is one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women this year.

One of the best gifts for outdoorsy women are a classic pair of Blundstone boots. These boots are timeless, exceptionally durable, comfortable, versatile and trendy.

Although these aren’t hiking or snow boots, Blundstones are great for wearing in every type of terrain, and in all seasons and weather conditions. Technically, Blundstones are work boots, originally (and still) worn by farmers in the Australian outback. This speaks to how tough these boots are!

And on top of being tough, their sleek design makes them suitable to wear on almost every occasion. I wear mine everywhere, including for walks through the snow and out for dinner. They’re practically the only shoe I wear throughout the Canadian winter, as they have excellent grip, are waterproof, and with a thick pair of socks they keep my feet nice and warm.

39. Katadyn BeFree Water Filter

A Katadyn BeFree 1L water filter, which is soft flask with a filter built into the lid, making it a great gift for outdoorsy women.

Another piece of backcountry gear which makes a great gift is the Katadyn BeFree Water Filter. This handy little filter is my absolute favourite one to use when backpacking. It’s collapsible, and is one of the most compact filters on the market. Plus it filters water so quickly, at up to 2 litres per minute!

You can also drink straight from it, so it can also be used as an additional water bottle. I typically filter the water into my big 1.5 litre Nalgene water bottle. But if I won’t come across a water source for a while, and to save filling up too often at camp, I will store extra water in my Katadyn.

40. Lightweight Compact Binoculars

A hand holding a compact pair of black binoculars, which makes an excellent gift for adventurous women.

To help her make the most of her time in nature, consider getting her a pair of compact binoculars, which she can easily carry with her on her outdoor adventures. But don’t be fooled by their tiny size. There are plenty of mini and lightweight binoculars on the market which are just as powerful as their bigger counterparts.

With a pair of binoculars she will be able to see much clearer views and appreciate the finer details of the great outdoors. Plus, she will be able to spot wildlife which she otherwise wouldn’t have been able to see with the naked eye!

41. MSR Hubba Hubba 2

A mustard and red coloured dome shaped tent, which is a great gift for active women.

When looking for gifts for outdoorsy women, a great option is to upgrade her current equipment to newer and better quality gear. In particular, MSR have recently brought out a new model of their popular Hubba Hubba tent, which is generally considered to be the best lightweight backpacking tent on the market.

The new version of the Hubba Hubba is considerably lighter than the previous version, without compromising on features. And, although it has some tight competition, it continues to surpass its competitors in terms of durability, functionality and comfort.

I am still using an old 2-person Hubba Hubba (which is still a great tent). But I would love to upgrade to the newer model, in the 3-person version, as it’s the same weight as the old 2-person one, but would give my partner and I a lot more space.

42. Rechargeable Hand Warmers

Two rechargeable hand warmers, which looks like a black egg-shaped device with an organge button. These make excellent gifts for outdoorsy women.

Help her to stay warm outside during the colder months with a pair of rechargeable hand warmers. These sturdy little gadgets can be tucked into her gloves, or kept in her pockets, providing up to 12 hours of heat!

These are ideal for a range of outdoor winter activities, including skiing and snowboarding. And, they can also be kept in the same pocket as her phone, preventing it from getting too cold and switching off in freezing temperatures.

43. Customized Puzzle

Lots of earthy coloured puzzle pieces in hues of yellow, grey and dark green, scattered across the frame, which need to be put together.

Although this is an activity to do indoors, a customized puzzle is a great gift to give. And to stick with the outdoorsy theme, have one of her favourite photos from her adventures printed on it.

This personalized gift will keep her entertained on a rainy day, bring back beautiful memories, and potentially even inspire future activities in nature, as she pieces together a memorable experience.

One of the best gifts for outdoorsy women who have an interest in understanding the natural world is Tristan Gooley’s The Lost Art of Reading Nature’s Signs. This book explains a wide range of outdoor skills and how to decipher nature’s clues in surprising detail.

On top of being a really handy book, it’s also a very interesting and entertaining read. Drawing from his extensive experience exploring landscapes around the world, Gooley shares over 850 practical tips for predicting, tracking, and finding your way in the wild.

Whether you’re strolling through the countryside, navigating a city, walking along a coastline, or exploring the night sky, this guide unveils the secrets of what the land, sun, moon, stars, plants, animals, and clouds can reveal, if you only know what to look for!

46. Biodegradable Shampoo Bars

A gift set of 4 biodegradable shampoo bars in different colours, next to the box they come in, which makes a great gift for outdoorsy women.

If you’re looking for sustainable gifts for outdoorsy women, a thoughtful and practical option is to give biodegradable shampoo bars.

The concept of shampoo bars has been gaining popularity recently. They’re considered better for your hair (since they don’t contain harsh chemicals), they’re good for the environment (since they eliminate the need for plastic bottles), and they’re longer lasting than traditional shampoo.

Plus, these bars are organic and biodegradable, which means they’re perfect to take camping, as they won’t contaminate the environment.

47. Nemo Tensor Sleeping Pad

The Nemo Tensor sleeping pad, which is a rectangular-shaped sleeping pad designed for camping, in a bright yellow colour.

For a comfortable night’s sleep under the stars, it’s essential to have a good sleeping pad. This can be more difficult to achieve for women, as we have lower body temperatures and wider hips than men, and we often sleep on our sides.

I recently upgraded to the Nemo Tensor sleeping pad and it made the world of difference. This is the most comfortable sleeping pad I’ve tried, and it works perfectly for me as a side sleeper. This pad provides 3 inches of supportive cushioning, weight distribution and stability.

No matter how much I toss and turn, my body never touches the ground. Plus this pad is very lightweight, quiet and easy to inflate with the included pump sack. So, based on my experience, this is one of my top recommendations for camping gifts for outdoorsy women.

48. JBL Endurance Race True Wireless Earbuds

A set of white sports wireless earbuds. One is in the open case and the other is in-front of it. These are a great gift for outdoorsy women.

One of the motivations to spending time outdoors is to connect with nature. However, if the outdoorsy woman you’re thinking of spend long periods of time outside, or does a sport like running, then she probably enjoys listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks at times. So, it’s important that she has a good reliable pair of headphones that are suited to her active lifestyle.

When you’re constantly on the move, upgrading to a pair of sports earbuds makes the world of difference. In particular, I would recommend the JBL Endurance Race True Wireless Earbuds. Not only are they designed for on the move, they also come with one of the longest battery life on the market, are waterproof and extremely durable. Plus, they’re a mid-priced option so they won’t break the bank!

49. Nature Photography Workshop

If she enjoys capturing her outdoor activities, then help her to level up her photography skills with a nature photography course.

This thoughtful gift idea will help her learn practical skills that she can apply on her next outdoor adventure. And she might even unlock a newfound passion.

With various in-person and online workshops available to suit different locations, levels of experience and photography styles, you’re bound to find a course that will suit the outdoorsy lady you’re thinking of.

50. Solar Power Bank

Two black and orange coloured solar power banks. One is standing up showing the front and the other is lying down showing the back. These look similar to regular portable power banks, with the addition of solar panels on the front side.

A really practical gift to give anyone outdoorsy is a portable power bank. And, a solar power bank is ideal if she enjoys heading into the backcountry for days or weeks at a time. This will ensure she never runs out of power and can keep all her devices charged as she explores the great outdoors.

In particular, this solar power bank from Riapow is a great pick, since it’s one of the most compact, durable and highly rated ones on the market. And it has some pretty cool features, including 4 outputs, wireless charging and a built-in flashlight with steady-flashing SOS mode, so it doubles up as a safety device.

51. Mountaineering Sunglasses

A pair of mountaineering sunglasses, which have a pink-tinted lens and leather side panels.

Combine functionality with fashion by giving a pair of mountaineering sunglasses. Not only will these protect her eyes from the elements and glare at high altitude, but they also look really cool!

These ones by Julbo are particularly stylish with their rose tinted lenses and leather side shields. But, most importantly, they provide optimal protection in extreme conditions, including sun radiation and snow blindness. Plus the flexible tips mean she can mould them around her ears, to ensure they stay in place, no matter the activity.

I invested in a pair of mountaineering sunglasses for a hiking trip in Patagonia which was only a few weeks after I had undergone eye surgery. These were essential in keeping my eyes healthy while they healed and safe from dust, ice, and the harsh Patagonian winds!

A food dehydrator, which looks like a small black and metal oven, and is a unique gift idea for outdoorsy women.

For an outdoorsy woman who loves cooking (almost as much as she loves the outdoors), a food dehydrator makes for a useful and unique gift idea.

The one downside to multi-day backcountry trips is that we usually have to resort to a diet of overpriced dehydrated meals and ramen noodles. Not only does the cost of these items add up, but they often lack nutrition, flavour and variety.

Whereas, with a food dehydrator, she will be able to mix things up and eat just as well out in nature as she does at home! She can experiment by dehydrating her own favourite recipes, or trying new recipes designed specifically for this purpose. Plus, she can make her own healthy backcountry snacks, such as fruit roll-ups, beef jerky and veggie chips!

Plus it comes in a wide range of fun colours and patterns, so there’s bound to be one that suits her personality and style.

55. Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Bottle

A purple hydro flask water bottle with a black lid, which makes a great gift for outdoorsy women.

Finally, no list of gifts for outdoorsy women would be complete without a Hydro Flask. It’s one of the most popular water bottle brands, and with good reason.

Their bottles are super durable, versatile, portable, and extremely well-designed with a patented double-wall vacuum. This keeps cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours, and hot drinks hot for up to 12 hours, without any condensation forming or making it slippery. Plus, the wide-mouth version allows enough space to add ice cubes for. an extra chilled drink!

Hydro Flasks come in every colour imaginable, and can be customized with different lid options, to suit all preferences.
